Iofina CEO: Record H1 as IO#12 drives the next growth phase Iofina PLC (AIM:IOF, OTC:IOFNF) president and CEO Dr Tom Becker joined Proactive to discuss record first-half iodine production and the path towards 2,000 metric tons of annual output. Iofina produced just under 394 metric tons in the first half, up 29% year-on-year, driven by plant expansion and continued operational execution. The near-term focus is IO#12, the company's first Permian Basin plant, expected to open late in Q3 with annual capacity of 170-220 metric tons — larger than its Oklahoma operations and a key part of the next growth phase. Increased water availability at IO#11 is expected to add further production. On demand, Becker highlighted continued growth in human healthcare, particularly X-ray contrast media, alongside strong animal health applications, with Iofina adding customers as output expands. Looking further ahead, the company is evaluating partnerships to develop larger plants and accelerate build timelines. Having completed roughly one plant per year, Becker said the pace is set to increase. "We're going to accelerate that growth plan here moving forward," he said.
